Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
CYW, BSW, MSW, RSW
Laura Fess, MSW, RSW, is a trauma-informed and attachment-focused therapist with over 15 years of experience working with youth, families, and couples. She holds an advanced diploma in Child and Youth Work, along with both an undergraduate and master’s degree in Social Work.
Laura is trained in a variety of evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, the Gottman Method, CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She sees these approaches as tools in a therapeutic toolbox, tailoring interventions to each client’s unique needs and goals.
With a deep understanding of how trauma and attachment shape our experiences, Laura approaches therapy from a systemic lens—considering each individual within the context of their history, relationships, and lived experiences. She helps clients process the roots of their struggles while building practical skills for healing and growth.
Known for her warmth and compassionate approach, Laura creates a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful transformation.
