Jill is a highly experienced clinical social worker with 27 years of practice in mental health, specializing in supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. As a married mother of two, she is deeply involved in her children’s elite-level sports and understands firsthand the importance of maintaining both physical and mental well-being. She brings this same dedication to her work, offering clients a compassionate, open-minded, and trustworthy therapeutic space—often with a touch of humour.
Jill’s professional journey began with a Master of Social Work degree, where she developed a strong interest in play therapy, focusing her thesis on its application in working with children in the ADHD clinic at Montreal’s Douglas Psychiatric Hospital. Post-graduation, she gained extensive experience in acute mental health settings, working in the Child and Adolescent Crisis Inpatient Unit at Whitby Mental Health Centre and the Children’s Mental Health Outpatient Clinic at Lakeridge Health.
Since 2002, Jill has been in private practice, where she feels privileged to support clients through a wide range of challenges, always guided by a belief in self-determination and respect for their core values, beliefs, and goals. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, ADHD, sports and performance anxiety, grief, parenting struggles, marital issues, trauma, and addictions, among others. Jill is committed to fostering resilience with her clients, helping them navigate life’s challenges with strength and confidence.
