Jessica Ward

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

BA in Global Development, BSW, MSW, RSW

Jessica is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist who has worked with children (8+), adolescents and adults across Ontario. Her approach is relational, person-centred and theoretically eclectic; drawing on a variety of evidence-based approaches. At the heart of her practice is relational therapy, but she also draws on narrative therapy, strength-based therapy, solution-oriented therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

She approaches her clients with a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive perspective, and strives to create a non-judgmental environment. She believes that therapy should be a human experience where individuals feel supported in exploring the vulnerable parts of themselves at their own pace, and on their own terms. With Jessica you can expect compassion, curiosity, lots of metaphors and a little bit of humour.

Jessica’s unique specialities include: chronic pain and/or illness, disabilities, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma reprocessing, stress/overwhelm, narcissistic abuse, trauma, EMDR or mindfulness based interventions and managing difficult life transitions.
